In designing this office we have deliberately chosen to use surfaces with strong contrasts to underline the cultural differences of the client made up of three partners of different nationalities (a US citizen, an Italian and a Panamanian). Poor raw materials with rough surfaces such as exposed concrete are flanked by elegant sophisticated materials with smooth surfaces and perfectly reflective surfaces such as smoked glass and polished steel of all the furniture. The result of this skilful combination of elements so different and heterogeneous almost contrasting with each other is an elegantly sober space.

En el diseño de esta oficina hemos optado deliberadamente por utilizar superficies con fuertes contrastes para subrayar las diferencias culturales del cliente compuesto por tres socios de diferentes nacionalidades (un italiano, un panameño y un estadounidense). Las materias primas pobres con superficies rugosas como el hormigón visto están flanqueadas por materiales elegantes y sofisticados con superficies reflectantes lisas y perfectamente lisas como el vidrio ahumado y el acero pulido de todos los muebles CATTELAN ITALIA. El resultado de esta hábil combinación de elementos tan diferentes y heterogéneos que casi contrastan entre sí es un espacio elegantemente sobrio.

Nel progettare questo ufficio abbiamo volutamente scelto di utilizzare superfici dai forti contrasti a sottolineare le differenze culturali della committenza formata da tre soci di diversa nazionalità (un americano, un italiano ed un panamense). Materiali poveri grezzi dalle superfici rugose come per esempio il cemento a vista sono affiancati a materiali eleganti sofisticati a superfici lisce e perfettamente levigate riflettenti come il vetro fumè e l’acciaio lucido dei mobili tutti CATTELAN ITALIA. Il risultato di questa sapiente combinazione di elementi così diversi ed eterogenei quasi contrastanti tra loro è uno spazio elegantemente sobrio.
